Illustration Friday: 'SHADES'

Néstor looks through the window shades, worried about his change of voice, while a shy fall sun is trying to sneak through the dark clouds that threaten rain.

This is one of my illustrations for ‘El Gallo’, a short story written by Cecilia Domínguez.

Néstor mira a través de las persianas, preocupado por su cambio de voz, mientras un tímido sol de otoño intenta colarse entre las oscuras nubes que amenazan lluvia.

Illustration Friday: 'INTENTION'

The little Elia asks herself what is the intention of his father, why is he so busy today? He has cleaned up the whole flat, picked up the laundry and has cooked a hearty meal… Will there be someone coming for dinner?

This is one of my illustrations for a contest based on the children’s story ‘A Bag Full of Stars’, by Jordina Biosca Soler.

La pequeña Elia se pregunta cuál es la intención de su padre, por qué está tan atareado hoy. Ha limpiado todo el piso, ha recogido la colada y ha cocinado una copiosa comida... ¿Es que va a venir alguien a cenar?

Hace décadas esta misteriosa dama debe haber sido un personaje muy popular, a juzgar por la cantidad de fotógrafos que la reciben al aeropuerto.

Illustration Friday: 'SUSPENSE'

Suspense…! When the girl went to clean the chapel of the old house, she found that the image of the saint had the arm down. What had happened?

This is one of my illustrations in the book "Entre tejados" (Between Rooftops) and Irene, the child protagonist, has much to do with this mystery.

¡Suspense...! Cuando la muchacha fue a limpiar la capilla de la vieja casona se encontró con que la imagen del santo tenía el brazo hacia abajo. ¿Qué había ocurrido?

Esta es una de mis ilustraciones para el libro "Entre tejados" e Irene, la niña protagonista, tiene mucho que ver con este misterio.

Illustration Friday: 'FORWARD'

I think this illustration shows the concept of moving forward, both physically and in a metaphorical sense.

I made it to illustrate the verse in Catalan which is highlighted in the following poem by Miquel Martí i Pol. It was part of a group show dedicated to this author.

Creo que esta ilustración muestra el concepto de ir hacia delante, tanto en un sentido físico como metafórico.

La hice para ilustrar el verso en catalán que está destacado en este poema de Miquel Martí i Pol. La imagen formó parte de una exposición colectiva dedicada al autor.
